itsatrapROPE-A-DOPE Reid's decision to call for a vote on Rep. Paul Ryan's budget plan smells like a trap.

Editor's note: when referencing the national GOP, dope is an acceptable synonym.

IDIOCY Let us remind ourselves of the cure for all sanctimonious displays of political pandering."Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone." Those skipping CPAC because GOProud will attend deserve to be reminded of that, often.

THOMAS SOWELL: ON CONSTITUTIONAL LITERALISM "But if law is not a body of rules, what is it? A set of arbitrary fiats by judges imposing their own vision of "the needs of the times"? Or a set of arbitrary regulations stealthily emerging from within the bowels of a bureaucracy?" Or what is so important that it needs to be preserved, protected and defended if it is subject to revision by judicial fiat rather than legitimate legislative amendment.

IF THE CONSTITUTION IS THE SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND and it is, then what's the harm in reading it aloud prior to the commencement of the 112th Congress? Don Surber says there is none. If it is no longer the supreme law of the land, then reading it aloud is no different than the hundreds of non-binding resolutions that Congress takes up congratulating sports teams or naming post offices. Now if they wanted to read something inciting revolution, like the Declaration of Independence, then I can see getting up in arms. (sarcasm off)
